Frequently Asked Questions
General
What is PeerDreams?
PeerDreams is a simple to use service that anyone can use to raise money for any cause.
We created PeerDreams so that people with a good idea or a worthy cause can find other people willing to sponsor them in a unique way. We also wanted to give the folks who want to help sponsor someone else's idea or cause a medium to promote and express their support above and beyond just donating money. If something is worth donating money to it stands to reason you think other people should support the cause as well. PeerDreams was built to support both these concepts in a fun and interactive way.

How does PeerDreams work?
PeerDreams is a simple and creative way for people to raise money for things they are passionate about. PeerDreams users create a "Campaign" by uploading an image related to their cause. This image is converted into a collection of small rectangles ("tiles") which other users can sponsor by donating money to the campaign cause. As a campaign grows closer to its fundraising goal the original image becomes a living tapestry of sponsor comments of encouragement. Campaign owners also receive customized print materials and dynamic badges to help them promote their campaign offline and on other websites.

Can I change the main campaign image after I have published a campaign?
No, you can't change the main image after you have published a campaign. In order to avoid "bait and switch" scenarios for users, we do not allow you to change you image. When a person sponsors a tile on your campaign, they are sponsoring a tile on a specific image and would not appreciate it if their sponsored tile changed after they completed their transaction.
