Picture the corner of 21st and Lake St. You don't want to, I know, because it's ugly. It's a dirty, run down, abandoned lot. Wouldn't it be nice if the next time you pictured the corner of 21st and Lake St. you could instead picture a beautiful landscaped garden? Some greenery. Some freshness. Well here's some good news! I'm part of a group planning to create such a picture by turning that abandoned lot into an adored garden. The lot is an eyesore and an environmental wart. We have better plans for 21st and Lake St. But we need a little help, like hiring a landscape architect for starters. But to do that, we again need a little help, like asking you to please chip in. P.S. All contributors will somehow be permanently honored in the garden (e.g. buy lots of tiles and you might have a bench named after you!).
