Not On Our Watch
The local Save Darfur group I belong to wants to buy wristbands to distribute to raise awareness about the crisis in Darfur.You may have seen people wearing green wristbands that say: "Not On Our Watch—Save Darfur." By wearing these bands, people raise awareness of the crisis in Darfur. Awareness is the first step to change, and only once people are aware of the truly horrific crisis in Darfur will they then be able to do something about it by donating money and lobbying governments for action.
My local Save Darfur group wants to buy 150 wristbands to distribute to others (most of us already wear our own bands). By passing out wristbands we will have a chance to raise awareness and stimulate conversation about Darfur. Recipients of the wristbands will then, in turn, be able to do the same thing, allowing the conversation to grow exponentially. Please help support this great cause.
