I've wanted a mac computer this year because of the fact that I can run more artsy programs (I'm a Studio Arts major and someday hope to make a career out of it). However, now the need for a new computer is becoming larger because mine is crapping out and randomly shutting down. I may need a new one now instead of just wanting a new one. I have not had time to try and fix my current lap top so maybe it can still be salvaged. Hopefully it can, but I would still like to save money for the mac that I can hopefully somehow get before I go to the 3 year Comic Art school I want to attend in New Jersey (assuming I could get accepted and find some way to pay for tuition...) after I graduate Hamline next spring.
Last night I lost one of my final essays that I was writing on my computer that was due this morning at 8am. So, at about 9 pm last night I lost the essay, was ready to have a breakdown, but pulled it together and worked until 4 am in the Sorin computer lab which is open 24 hours. I then went back to my room and finished the rest of the homework I had due for today. That was the closest I've had to an all nighter at college, but I don't want to repeat it! I'm currently running my computer on safe mode, which seems to greatly help the amount of time that it shuts down on me.
