SonScape Retreats in Colorado is a safe place offering rest from labor, time for reflection, opportunity for spiritual renewal, life assessment, and healing. Since 1984 we have helped over 2500 pastors.SonScape Retreats began in 1984 to help pastoral couples who are struggling with the pressures of ministry. According to national statistics 1,600 pastors leave the ministry every month for a variety of reasons with the number one reason being burnout. Pastors are under intense pressure to be powerful preachers, sensitive counselors, visionary leaders, tireless fundraisers, selfless servants, and perfect parents. At SonScape we believe that life should embody a balance of rest, recreation and renewal, and our program reflects that belief. Rest takes place in private two room guest suites, scenic drives through beautiful mountain passes and in our relaxing hot tub. Recreation takes place on hiking trails, walks beside peaceful streams and activities in our game room. Renewal takes place in private times of prayer, reflection and study, as well as small-group sessions designed to turn down the noise of our fast-paced world so they can better hear the voice of God. The transformation that begins at SonScape continues long after they leave thanks to a year-long follow-up program.We are trying to raise money so that more pastoral couples may attend a retreat at SonScape. The cost for the seven-day retreat is $2,500 and many couples cannot afford that. Your gift along with that of many others will allow us to scholarship two couples who otherwise could not attend. Those who attend return to their ministry renewed and refreshed impacting their people in positive manner.
