Last weekend we spent $ 168 collectively on gas ($ 56) and two nights at the Travelodge with the Obama Campaign discount ($ 112).  For the final Obama Get Out the Vote effort, we will be spending October 31st to November 5th in Reno doing whatever it takes to make sure our coalition of registered voters travels to the polls and votes for Senator Obama. 

Our estimated expenses for October 31st to November 5th:
(1) Five nights at the Travelodge (5 nights at $ 56/night=$ 280). 
(2) 3 tanks of gas (3 tank at ≈$ 35=$ 105).

Election background on Nevada: 

• In 2004, Washoe County was home to approximately 17,000 more registered Republicans than Democrats and George Bush beat John Kerry by 6,696 votes in Washoe (21,500 statewide). Source: FiveThirtyEight.com
  
• As of the last official count, the county was home to 376 more registered Democrats than Republicans. Source: NVDEMS.com
• If we can flip a battleground county like Washoe, we can flip a battleground state like Nevada.  And if we win states like Nevada (5), Colorado (9), Missouri (11), Virginia (13) then Ohio (20) won't matter and Florida will matter less, though it looks like Florida's going to vote Democrat.
